Pastor,

Our family made our 2nd visit to Arrowhead this past Sunday. I am certain that your message about confusion was meant for me to hear!

We are very involved in a ministry in the Philippines and have been praying about becoming career missionaries there. And while that may sound super exciting (and it truly is!) I have been letting Satan's lies and whispers get to me. It has caused me to be bitter about silly things and for the last couple of weeks just in a totally confusing slump. I was so thankful for the kick in the pants! It't not about what I can do for the street children, but about what God can do through me if I am obedient and give Him glory for His work!

This change (with church) is coming at a time when change is rampant in our home. It is scary for me, but I am loving the spirit I feel at Arrowhead. I pray that you will continue to be obedient to God and that the church will grow. I hope to meet you and your family soon.

Make sure you express these thoughts to her every day - - we women need to hear them!!! Ben and I have been married almost 32 years, and I still like hearing those feelings expressed.

And, FYI - - You are correct - she is a very special woman!!!

As a leader, you're following and leading at the same time, which can be difficult. Thank you, Ben, for laying it down clearly and moving forward with confidence. I need a leader that can do that, and I thank God for you.

BTW... if you need help getting the video up on Sunday, I'd be glad to help; I like watching it again while I have the extra time to (i.e. Sunday).

Have a blessed week!

Brash? Hmmm. The good thing is that when I retire from the pastorate being brash will make me a good professional wrestler. I may even include "Brash" in my pseudo-name.
