Sunday Recap :: 1.17.10

Happy birthday Arrowhead! Sunday was the greatest day we’ve ever had by far. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us!

  • Pinatas, crazy songs, cake, videos, tons of new volunteers, and the biggest crowd we’ve ever had. Even had someone pray to receive Christ!
  • We’ll post the birthday video tomorrow here on the blog and we’ll put it on the church website as well. It was great to be able to celebrate by looking back.
  • Message was week 2 of the Real Change Campaign. Real change requires real vision. We unveiled some statements that summarize everything we’re trying to do at Arrowhead, and it all revolves around real life.
  • Living life with God, sharing life together, giving life to others. I’ll unpack in more detail on the blog in the days ahead.
  • Songs were: Party (Chris Tomlin), Happy Day (Tim Hughes), Today is the Day (Lincoln Brewster), and How He Loves (Eddie Kirkland, or David Crowder).
  • Big thanks to my sister who pulled off some awesome cakes - she’s gonna give Duff a run for his money one day.
  • So encouraged by so many new folks saying they’re ready to volunteer. I’ve never been a part of a church where more people were ready to jump in and volunteer!
  • All I can say is that it’s been an awesome first year. Thanks to everybody who’s been a part. If you’re praying for us, ask the Lord to continue to lay His vision in front of us and to fulfill it through us. Hang on for year two!
